One bar. Two ways to be part of it.
Job seekers pay per session. Professionals set their own price and keep the majority of it. Each session is built around useful guidance, practice, and a real conversation.
Choose career consulting for insight, or a structured mock interview across engineering, data, ML, product, design, and more.
- Pay per session, no subscription
- Every professional sets their own price — this range is a guide, not a rule
- Eligibility for a platform-issued skill badge after passing a mock interview
- Possible referral — entirely the professional's independent decision
You set your own price for every session. Our commission is 10–30%, depending on the type of session.
- You set the price — $80–350 is a typical starting range, not a ceiling or a floor
- Lower commission on open consults, higher on structured mock interviews (rubric + platform-issued skill badge + talent-pool listing)
- Any referral remains subject to your employer's policies and your independent judgment
- Paid out on a regular cycle
Before you start.
Does paying for a session guarantee a referral?
No. Your fee covers the session and the feedback you walk away with. A referral is never promised, purchased, or required. An evaluator may independently choose to refer you afterward, subject to their employer's policies.
What functions are actually covered?
Engineering, data science, data analytics, ML/AI, product management, design, and a growing list beyond that — finance, marketing, and operations are already on the platform. If a large company has the role, there's likely a professional for it.
How do I find the right professional?
During the early pilot, tell us your goals, function, and preferred timing. We review the available profiles and coordinate a possible match by email. Search, filtering, and automated recommendations are planned as the network grows.
Who sets the price for a session?
The professional does — every time. There's no fixed rate card. Most sessions land somewhere in the $80–350 range, but that's a typical starting point, not a rule — plenty of professionals price above or below it based on their own judgment.
How much does Get Above Bar take?
The planned platform commission is between 10% and 30% per session, depending on the type. During the early pilot, session details, payment, and any applicable split are confirmed directly before the session.
What does a badge actually verify?
A platform-issued badge identifies a specific skill, session type, and evaluator background. It is evidence of a completed Get Above Bar evaluation, not an employer endorsement, hiring guarantee, or generic completion certificate.
Can a professional refer someone outside their own team?
Possibly, depending on the professional's employer policies and available roles. A professional may independently refer a strong candidate, but Get Above Bar does not sell, require, or guarantee referrals.
